Executive Directors
Jorge Arturo Arce Gama
He became Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of HSBC Mexico in February 2020 and has been Chair of the Board of Directors since January 2022. He previously worked in Banco Santander México where he was Deputy General Director of Global Banking and Markets and before that he was the CEO of Deutsche Bank México. He has a BA in Finance and Economics from Pace University in New York.
Guillermo Roberto Colquhoun
He has been the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) of HSBC Latin America since September 2021. He previously was appointed as Chief Risk Officer for HSBC Mexico in 2018. He was also Chief Auditor Mexico and Regional Head of Credit Risk Audit Latin America and before that was appointed Regional Head of Credit Risk Audit Latin America for HSBC Bank Brazil, S.A.. Mr. Colquhoun has a Bachelor´s Degree in Business Administration and a Finance Specialisation from Buenos Aires University.

Claudia Jañez Sánchez
She has been the Chair of “Consejo Ejecutivo de Empresas Globales” since January 2019. She has over 25 years of experience in several business sectors. She was the first woman appointed as Chair of Dupont for Mexico and Latin America. She graduated with a BSc in Law at Universidad La Salle and has an MBA (MEDEX) at Instituto Panamericano de Alta Dirección de Empresas (IPADE).
Pedro José Moreno Cantalejo
He is the founder and CEO of Hill House Capital and previously was the Vice Chairman of Administration and Finance in Banco Santander, as well as a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Vice-Chairman and member of the executive committee, the management committee, and all regulatory committees. He graduated with a BSc in Economics at CEU Luis Vives, UA Madrid, and holds an MBA Senior Executive from ESADE, Madrid, and an MBA Executive from ESDEN, Madrid.
Alberto Ardura González
He is currently the CEO and a board member of BITE Acquisition Corporation, LLC, and President of Pier A Capital Solutions, Inc. He has over 30 years of experience in different corporate finance, capital markets and client coverage roles across Latin America. This includes at director level in entities such as Deutsche Bank, AG, Merrill Lynch México, Grupo Financiero Promex-Finamex, ING Bank, and others. He obtained a Business and Finance Degree at Universidad Panamericana. In addition, he has taken courses in Credit, Banking, Finance and Derivatives at NYU.
José María Zas
He was President and CEO of American Express in Mexico, Argentina and Latin America. He was also responsible for the International Insurance Business globally and President of American Express Bank México. He previously held other positions in American Express such as: President and General Manager Argentina, Commercial General Manager for Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Latin America & Caribbean and Canada, and Vice President Human Resources for Latin America. He graduated with honours in Social Sciences at Universidad Argentina de la Empresa, holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the IAE School of Business, and a PhD in Business Administration from Universidad de Belgrano.
Andrés Eugenio Sucre Pulido
He is the founder and CEO of Reservamos, a leading ground transportation technology company launched in October 2021. He was an MBA Summer Intern at Rocket Internet and Assistant Vice President at Deutsche Bank for four months. He holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a BSc in Management Engineering with a minor in International Studies from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Vanessa Rubio Márquez
She was a Senator of México and previously was the Deputy Minister of Finance and Public Credit. She also held other public service positions including Deputy Minister of Social Development (Planning, Evaluation and Regional Development) in the Ministry of Social Development (SEDESOL) and as Deputy Minister of International Affairs (Latin America and the Caribbean) in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SER). She holds a Bachelor´s Degree in International Relations from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (U.N.A.M.) and holds a Master’s Degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Luis Miguel Vilatela Riba
He is currently a Non-Executive Director in the subsidiaries of Grupo Financiero HSBC (México). He was CEO in HSBC Bank plc España and previously Deputy General Director of CMB in HSBC México, S.A. He was also the CEO of HSBC Bank plc. He has a BSc in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (U.N.A.M.) y and has an MBA from Kellogg School of Business, Northwestern University.
